Scaling well means deciding which modules deserve duplication, which deserve abstraction, and which should stay local because moving them only adds friction. When to Scale a Line
Duplicate only after you understand the line well enough to package it. If a lane still depends on manual sorting, odd buffer tricks, or one-off paint handling, duplicating it just spreads confusion faster. Standardize inputs first, then blueprint the solved pattern.
The same rule applies to trains. A train is not an upgrade by itself. It becomes correct only when belt distance or volume is the true bottleneck and the source module is already stable.

- Building one giant universal bus instead of several understandable specialist districts.
- Using trains for prestige before the save has enough steady volume to justify the overhead.
